Inkblock

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Last updated: September 14, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Inkblock mobile app (the “app”). Inkblock is a product operated by Chintan Dalal, an individual developer. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Inkblock does

Inkblock is an on-device tool that scans or imports documents, detects potentially sensitive information, and helps you redact it. All scanning, detection, and redaction happen locally on your device; your documents are not uploaded to us. Signing in is optional and does not unlock any features; Inkblock Pro is tied to your Google Play account.

2. You are responsible for reviewing your redactions. Automatic detection is a convenience, not a guarantee. It may miss sensitive information or mark something you did not intend. You must review each document and confirm every redaction before you share, export, or rely on it. Inkblock is not responsible for information that remains visible in a document you export or share.

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.

4. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

Inkblock is free to download. Optional Inkblock Pro is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time purchase, sold and processed through Google Play.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and not to use it to process content you have no right to handle, to violate anyone’s privacy or rights, or to interfere with the app’s operation or security.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that detection will identify all sensitive information, or that the app will be uninterrupted or secure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inkblock and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss arising from sensitive information that remained visible in a document you exported or shared. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection laws provide otherwise.
